Welcome to the Sported Funding Bulletin. This page is here to help you find funding opportunities that may be available to your group or organisation.
We know that funding is a priority for many groups in our network, and that finding the right opportunity can sometimes feel complicated.
Use the search and filter options on this page to narrow down the list of funds.

You can search by keyword, or tick the filters that apply to you and select Apply Filters. This will make the list shorter and help you find funds that may be a good match.
Each fund has its own eligibility criteria. If you find a fund that looks suitable, please open the website link and read the guidance carefully before applying.
Finding a fund is an important first step, but it is not the only part of securing funding. If you need more support, you can also explore the resources available on the Hub.

Ambition North Wales - Clean Energy Fund 16237
Ambition North Wales is offering discretionary funding. Funding is available in North Wales to help businesses and community organisations invest in clean energy and decarbonisation projects, with the aim of reducing costs, improving efficiency and creating new opportunities. The funding is intended to support clean energy projects by enabling businesses and voluntary organisations to build a more sustainable future.

Bristol Airport Local Community Fund 16283
Bristol Airport is offering discretionary funding. Grants are available to groups in the Bristol area for local projects that benefit the local community and the environment. The main aims of the fund are to mitigate the environmental impacts of the Airport’s operations and give something back to the surrounding communities that are affected by being situated close to an international airport.

Broadacres Community and Sustainability Fund 16312
Broadacres Housing Association is offering funding of up to £500. Grants are available to community organisations based in Broadacres Housing Association locations of Yorkshire and North East England for projects that support community-led ideas that deliver social, environmental, or shared benefits for local people. The funding is for local organisations, community groups, and resident-led projects that help to: Build stronger communities Support activities, events, or projects that bring people together to strengthen neighbourhood connections and promote safer more inclusive place to live.

Burbo Bank Extension Community Fund 16229
Ørsted’s is offering funding of up to £20,000. Grants are available to a range of not-for-profit organisations for new or existing community and environmental projects that benefit local residents in Denbighshire, Flintshire, the Wirral and Sefton. The fund will provide up to £225,000 each year over a 25-year period (2015-2040) for the benefit of voluntary groups and organisations located near to the coasts in Denbighshire, Flintshire, the Wirral and Sefton.

Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) - Community Buildings Fund 16186
Scottish Government is offering funding of up to £80,000. Grants are available for community groups in Scotland to decarbonise community buildings. The funding aims to help community organisations reduce their building's energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

Community Energy Growth Fund 16066
Scottish Government is offering discretionary funding. Grants are available for community groups across Scotland to help their communities develop, own and benefit from renewable energy projects. The funding can support community-owned renewable electricity generation projects, including solar PV, wind and hydro, and the integration of energy storage and demand flexibility technologies.

Energy Resilience Fund 16131
Architectural Heritage Fund is offering funding of up to £250,000. A mixture of grant and loan funding is available to support community organisations and social enterprises in England to install energy saving measures or technology and purchase energy efficient or environmentally friendly vehicles or equipment. The Energy Resilience Fund provides eligible charities and social enterprises in England with a blended funding package of loan (60%) and grant (40%) to improve their energy resilience.

Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust 16140
Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust is offering discretionary funding. Grants are available for charities for general charitable purposes in Great Britain. The Trustees have complete discretion as to the type of charitable work supported, however the Trust has focused on supporting projects relating to young people, people with disabilities, the environment and the arts over the last few years.

Scott Bader Commonwealth Global Charity Fund 16199
Scott Bader Commonwealth Limited is offering funding of up to £25,000. Grants are available for UK registered charities to fund environmental and educational projects and which help young or disadvantaged people in communities worldwide. The Scott Bader Commonwealth Global Charity Fund aims to provide grants to charitable organisations registered in the UK for projects around the world, and in particular in the local communities in which Scott Bader Group facilities are based.

Soirbheas Community Grants 16242
Soirbheas is offering funding of up to £50,000. Grants for a range of projects and activities to benefit residents in the community council areas of Glen Urquhart and Strathglass. The aim of the scheme is to support local initiatives that help protect the environment, provide training and promote employment opportunities, and projects that help make the communities of Glen Urquhart and Strathglass more resilient.

Sport Wales - A Place for Sport (with Crowdfunding) 16168
National Lottery is offering funding of up to £15,000. Grants are available for not-for-profit sports clubs or community groups in Wales who want to create, enhance, or redevelop sports facilities for the benefit of their community and who can raise their initial funding through crowdfunding. The funding aims to help community organisations crowdfunding for capital (building or refurbishment) works that will enhance spaces within their local area, to enable people to have a better experience, to ensure facilities are more environmentally and financially sustainable.

Veolia Environmental Trust 16136
Veolia Environmental Trust is offering funding of up to £75,000. Grants for constituted, not-for-profit organisations and local authorities for projects that make improvements to community facilities and the natural environment that are located near a qualifying Veolia site in England. The Trust currently offers the following grant schemes: Community Grants are for constituted, not-for-profit organisations and local authorities to create or improve community buildings or outside spaces for the benefit of the community.

Veolia Telford and Wrekin EnviroGrant Scheme 16275
Telford and Wrekin Council is offering funding of up to £1,000. Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations in Telford and Wrekin to support projects that benefit the local community or the environment. This fund aims to support community groups in Telford and Wrekin with projects that: Improve or protect the local environment through practical action/education.

Veolia's Sustainability Fund 16203
Veolia UK is offering funding of up to £1,000. Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations and community groups in areas where Veolia partners with the local authority to support projects that will help transform their local community or environment. The funding is intended to support projects that make a positive, sustainable difference to local areas and deliver long-term social and environmental benefits with the aim of empowering local people to take positive action in their local area.
